TOKYO STORY UNIVERSITY is a community
where we, the people of this city,
share our "stories" of passion and inspiration.
Anyone with enthusiasm for what they do can be a teacher,
and anyone who would like to open their hearts and
sink themselves into a deeper understanding of
this city's culture can be a student.
Classes, made up of authentic lectures
and stimulating workshops,
are held throughout the year,
all around Tokyo.
Yes, the campus is the whole city of Tokyo.

Dear those who have just landed in Tokyo,
and those who have gotten used to living here little by little,
We deeply appreciate your interest in joining our community.
Without you, TSU would not be possible.
I initially become interested in TSU because I wanted to improve Japanese society.
Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world, a sprawling metropolis that consists of truly various different people. With that said, Japan as a whole seems to lack a sense of international cultural unity at times, as I am sure many of you have noticed.
As foreign students and expats living in Japan, in addition to several other challenges, it can especially be difficult to integrate with your local community.
There exist some barriers, other than language, that prevent us from communicating smoothly with each other. At times, this may hinder your quest to learn more about Japan. That is a real shame!
After all, you came all the way from your home countries to discover more about Japan.
TSU intends to break down these walls and assist in sharing our cultures, thoughts, and ideas through our lectures and workshops.
Regardless of the cultural barriers, there truly are all sorts of fascinating people in Tokyo with amazing stories. This most certainly includes you.
Let's work together in bridging Japan to the rest of the world!
I am looking forward to meeting you.
